From: DOWNGRADE COMPLETE: Thanks Gary. Thanks SWAPA.
You can bet that SWA is trying to make plays on the uber cheap right now BEHIND THE SCENES. It would be stupid of them to announce an acquisition or aircraft order before they’ve squeezed all the juice out of Boeing and their eff up.
It’s no secret that they’ve looked hard at the A220 and just look at how Spirit is growing in so many SWA focus cities (BNA, BWI, LAS).
This has the earmarks of 2010 and the AirTran acquisition. Same story.....AT was getting to be a thorn in SWA’s side. Additionally AT has some valuable slots.
Not sure, but how big is NK’s LGA & DCA presence anyway?

So loading up would greatly reduce that cost basis at today's price. Smart idea. I also like the adage, "it's not a loss until you sell." Personally it's hard to see the value tank but I try only to look at how many shares I own during times like these. The big shift will occur on April 22 when earnings are announced after hours.

LUV shares have taken a hit as well, they've got their own problems to deal with. And if and when anyone decides to go all in those shares will run up to the 52 week high before they are all purchased. More reasonable scenario is SAVE buying back more of their stock.
