this made me laugh. Not because someone would be in the negative for legit reasons but not |
For real though... does this virus have the potential to double people’s reserve times and add time to upgrade here? Possibly even a hiring and upgrade freeze?
side note.. can reserve crewmembers pick up trips on their off days? |

side note.. can reserve crewmembers pick up trips on their off days? I would say absolutely there is potential to end the quick ride we’ve been on. Will it ? Time will tell. Airline industry has been thru all sorts of calamities, it will get thru this one too. However if this gets worse before it gets better (which I suspect) and we see a precipitous drop in bookings, then i could easily see a massive slow down in growth at NK. Even Gary Kelly made a comment the other day about how the sudden drop in bookings had the same type feel as 9/11, as far as the speed and size of the drop. Will people still go to Disney world ? Spring break? Vegas for a weekend? Time will tell. I think In the next month if I see with my own eyes, 1/2 full seats, then I’ll start to get anxious . We all knew the extreme growth we’ve had would at some point slow , is the catalyst ? Guess we are about to find out |
I've been telling all the young guys it's just a matter of time and you'll get to experience the great Airline "got ya" surprise. It's funny how quick you can get kicked in the balls in this profession. When I was at a legacy back in 99 and was told 4 years to the left seat and "welcome you just became a Million air!" Thanks Bin Landen! Now maybe some can understand why some of us never went back during recalls. We had been kick in the sack! Why get kicked again!?

Aren’t we actually getting airplanes slower than planned bc Airbus can’t deliver them on time? Haven’t we slowed hiring bc of that already? That could actually help

I have my pompom's out telling everyone to fly on spirit since we dont go to Asia or Europe so the company doesnt drop the F bomb lol. We have teams that clean our plans after every flight and airbus has a great air fliter. Looks like its working so far because my flights are full

My guys in the training Department know NOTHING about any slow down in respect to hiring and training. That means it's 100% coming was my response. LOL this will blow over, stopping watch TV and live your life it's to much hype. In respect to the airport traffic. Was in ORD and it looks normal. Full loads!

I agree you are pay protected in both instances, however in the email is says “additionally” if you are confirmed to have then it doesn’t come out of your sick bank. If you are in a quarantine situation without having it you are pay protected but it would come out of your sick bank.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Read the MOU/ask a rep, and you’ll see this isn’t true. A quarantine, for example, isn’t even a sick call or deduction of any sick bank. MOU specifies a Pilot in this situation is placed on management removed paid (MRP) and fully paid protected. |
