https://i.ibb.co/cF3ZdmJ/18-BC4218-8...DCD264-DEC.jpg What happened to American exceptionalism? American competence and leadership around the globe? We had a six to eight week lead time knowing what S. Korea and parts of Europe were going through was heading for our shores. Closing in on 150,000 deaths is not a success story and neither is the death rate the only meaningful measure of success. Ask the folks that have lingering health issues effecting their quality of life if that’s not meaningful. You may be willing to accept American incompetence or mediocrity but I am not. |

Or how inadequate Obama’s response was to the economy for 8 years. |

I’m just glad we can have civilized political discussions. I’ve seen lots of minds changed on the internet about political topics.

Instead you will vote for Biden who has some serious cognitive (dementia) issues to lead the free world? Your hatred for Trump is enough to vote a bobblehead in? Before COVID the economy was great and you can't blame that on Trump. He will will rebuild the economy. The vaccine is close. Trump is not perfect but I think he is doing a great job. Chooo chooo |

So about that earnings call...management seems optimistic but obviously that is heavily contingent on demand returning sooner than later. At this point it's pretty much a waiting game for the holiday travel season, and for all of our sakes hopefully they take the second round of government loans if it would benefit us. |
I am going step away from this thread. Best of luck. Great company (Spirit) with good folks. COVID is not airline-centric, it is affecting the entire industry. I would think the ULCC/LCC model is more immune but COVID is shattering all models and theories. You could put 10 Harvard Phd economists in a room and nobody can crystal ball the future on this thing.

If by derailment you mean the bottom of the current administration’s economy dipping to the peak of the last administration’s economy then I can deal with that.
the immediate action item for now is COVID. What Jimmy Carter did? Who cares. |
“Politics“ etymology:
poly, a prefix; From Ancient Greek πολύς (polús, “many, much”) Ticks, plural noun; denotes various species of blood-sucking arthropod parasites. |

No. There is no different set of rules. The rules are the same for everyone in every situation. The difference is those who follow the rules and those who do not. I dont see a political line there, as you yourself detailed that both leftys and rightys arent playing by the rules. You do know plenty of rioters have been arrested. Protesters can protest, but those caught vandalizing or worse were absolutely arrested when able. That said, the police knew they were outnumbered and played the situation correct. Why send people into a situation that was not going to be controlled and could potentially result in the injury or death of an officer? Enforcing mask mandates is not as inherently dangerous as a large crowd with weapons. Also, i have not yet heard of any anti-maskers being swept off the streets by secret police into unmarked vehicles.

Outside of Allegiant and Sun Country, we probably have the least active forum of the majors and that is an indication of how much our pilots focus on other sh it.
If anyone thinks this is toxic, they haven’t ventured into the bigger airline forums. |

I’d choose the guy that can make coherent sentences and that would surround himself with people that are intelligent about how to handle any situation. The current moron in office always thinks he is right. If questioned or given advice he doesn’t like, then they are replaced. Trump is the classic narcissistic, sociopath. Look it up, he fits the description perfectly. We have become the joke of the world under his “leadership “. I use that word very loosely.

Now can you all just exchange numbers in a PM and continue this BS outside of here? |

It is sad his family is allowing him to keep running when there is an obvious cognitive problem. That's the best candidate the left can muster? Oh and he was a bit of a creep too, I'm sure he would surround himself with woman he can sniff. Where's the me2 movement?

I’ll take the guy who isn’t referred to as Individual 1 in a federal indictment to pay off a porn star. I’ll take the guy who’s campaign manager, deputy campaign manager, national security advisor, foreign affairs advisor, and political advisor weren’t convicted of felonies. I’ll take the guy who isn’t afraid to release his taxes because he’s afraid of fraud or worse being exposed. I’ll take the guy who didn’t blackmail a foreign country by withholding congressionally appropriated funds to get dirt on his political opponent. I’ll take the guy who isn’t relying on an Office of Legal Council memo that states a sitting president cannot be indicted while in office from being indicted while in office. I’ll take the guy who didn’t say that Covid cases will soon be down to zero and then so bungled the response to the crisis that the livelihoods of everyone in our industry and the health of everyone in the country are threatened.
The buffoonery. The douchbaggery. The dip****tery. The criminality of our current president is an embarrassment. |
