Unfortunately NK numbers arent. AA and Delta picking up.
“Based on management’s current expectations and assumptions developed from current trends and information available at this time, Spirit estimates its third quarter 2020 operating revenue will be slightly better than the Company’s initial guidance due to management’s expectations of higher operating yields. Management also estimates that total operating expenses for the third quarter 2020, excluding special items, will improve as compared to the Company’s previous guidance. This expected improvement is based upon an expectation of lower labor expense as a result of more team members participating in voluntary time off programs, lower than expected maintenance expense driven by an expectation of fewer maintenance events, and other cost management initiatives. As of the date hereof, the Company currently expects its average daily cash burn1 for the third quarter 2020 will come in at the lower end of the Company’s guidance range given in late July of $3 to $4 million.” So this seems good to me. They are participating in an industry conference call today and hopefully will add more color |

be back. I honestly have zero clue wtf it took us this long. Maybe we were forced to as a route because of CAREs money, but I did a MYR-PBG-MYR back in July. 13 going and 10 coming back. Again, zero surprise with the border closed. |
CARES requirement. That ends in a few weeks

While this problem is not unique to Spirit, it is certainly annoying. My brother bought tickets on us for early October only to have them completely cancel that route with no other option. Had another family member book on us for vacation and they have already changed the flight times twice, with them having to stay an extra day to catch the flight back home. Granted this is just on Spirit, but I'm sure it is similar across the board on other airlines. October is about to bring a whole new level of pain and confusion unfortunately.

So the airlines are supposed to keep flying magnificently unprofitable routes at the convenience of the flying public, all the while the CARES funding dries up? C’mon man, that ain’t how capitalism works. I guess next we should consider re-regulating?
