f you for one minute think that there's no pressure to conform in that profession, you're dreaming. Access to grants and having a job are a couple of reasons to conform to the 'consensus'. Not to mention getting published.
Of course if anyone does disagree, people like you are going to smear them with the claim that they're getting paid by oil and coal companies.

If it was just consensus due to people wanting to conform and get published you’d have a much larger group of dissenters calling them out. Every large company that burned fossil fuels would be parading these scientists out and paying them big money to prove that its not us causing it. But believe whatever you want there’s nothing we can really do about it other than argue.
Just realize I’d love to believe this was all made up considering I support my family by burning jet fuel and I’d love to think that we as humans are having no effect on the climate. Just hard for me to believe given the sources and data that educated people are presenting.
