And it’s true. ULCC will be the first ones back to profitability. Guys on the line should be making these statements, it’s factual. It’s the reason we will be growing the next few years while legacy carriers wait for their business travelers to come back.

The difference between the standard economic downturn and a pandemic driven near economic shutdown is stark. The OP is either trolling or a moron. Neither warrants a defense.

The crewmembers on the line implying that NKS is more resistant to downturns due to its model are correct.

Hopefully it's both/and in the near term. UAL announced 40 new weekly flights to the UK today. Markets are starting to open back up

Did any other airline post a positive ebitda margin?? And, the projected 10-15% for Q3 seems quite bullish, the only other airline that actually published a number for Q3 that I saw was AA (-3 to -7%).

Thats good stuff, but flying airplanes is only a portion of their operation.

LOL. As much as they love to tout all the BS about being a “Travel Company” their airline is well north of about 95% of all the money they make. It always humored me, when I worked there, how they always acted like the airline was some super small side piece of the operation and just doing it’s cute little thing over here on the side.

When you’re talking about barely breaking even having 5% of you profits coming from not flying airplanes isn’t a small deal.

I don’t really care either way, but we’re strictly an airline.

Well, If it makes any difference the airline portion of the business was the profitable entity. Surprisingly the hotel that’s not complete or the other Mickey Mouse businesses they have weren’t generating as much profit.

A bit of good news. Apparently investors like to see mass cancellations. Our stocked closed up 5% today!
