What is going to happen when all of the "Big Boys" are hiring at full capacity? They will all hire away the other guys regional pilots. You know regional? The 50-76 seaters who the ‘real airlines’ use to tie up gates with at their fortress hubs and run the spokes if the hub and spoke model? The ‘Big Boys’ will be driving up their own costs while progressively losing long-standing monopolies. The fact is that NO MAJOR is going to have serious difficulties filling classes until the regionals are drained dry. And the regionals are an integral part of what makes the hub and spoke model work, and contribute revenue to the ‘Big Boys’. The progressive demise of the regionals will help ULCCs more than it hurts them by opening up hub gates and providing more opportunities for point to point travel. Immediately prior to COVID F9 and NK were expanding between 15-17% per year. How were the ‘Big Boys’ doing? https://i.ibb.co/tzbDCgG/79-BEABF5-4...ED9-E88-E6.jpg https://i.ibb.co/nbR1vY1/04216-F95-3...784-F181-A.jpg in the meantime, the ‘Big Boys’ grow 2-3 % per year: https://i.ibb.co/5hD9v10/D1984-D0-C-...-F6-CDFD03.jpg |

First of all, I don't think anyone wants a system like they have in Europe. The system is designed to keep pilot wages low through fake competition and government backed airlines. If you want your pay cut 25%, then keep rooting for the LCC system like they have in Europe.
In reality, the death blow to the LCC's will be the pilot shortage. It really hasnt even hit yet, and the LCC's are already struggling. It is just amazing who is getting hired at Spirit right now. It shows you the desperation. A guy that got fired from a previous regional for having too many training failures just got hired. 2 failures before getting to the airlines (Commercial and CFI). Then failed initial airline training on his first attempt, and then failed his first recurrent training. Then double busted upgrade and was terminated as a result. Now, instead of a ERJ, he will be flying an Airbus for Spirit. No college degree and 6 checkride failures. That's the current hiring requirements at Spirit. What is going to happen when all of the "Big Boys" are hiring at full capacity? |

Haha. Meanwhile UAL is tripping over themselves to hire any demographic to make HR happy, hours and experienced be damned.
Perhaps check your own house when hiring is based on what’s between the legs and the color of skin vs the logbook. Each new hire class photo is the same week after week. 90% white male continues to dominate the demographic. But keep on believing you know the inside scoop about how crappy and tainted the Big 3 airlines are. |

Once again, you think you know what happens at places like United, but you have no clue. Your anecdotal laden perception of our hiring practices isn’t reality.

You are high if you are trying to convince anyone with eyes that certain airlines aren't going out of their way to hire based on demographics. Wake up |

Why Spirit? Have you considered getting your app in at Envoy? You'll be American Airlines from day one of hire there, if you can pass the interview. I hear it's pretty tough.
