New pilot base in Miami?

30 routes from Miami starting in October... Are they opening a pilot base from Miami?

No official word on new base, cobase or no base yet.

From what I've heard it's something they're entertaining, but I don't know if they've decided themselves.

Probably need to gauge how the flying goes… If the market likes us, co-base is my bet.. Miami guys will love it, rest of us will prolly avoid it.

I hope not, if they do hopefully its later than sooner, atleast until i get my line... as a new guy living near PBI, my 45 min drive to FLL is fine with me. An additional 1 hour fighting that crazy miami traffic on reserve will be no bueno for me! lol

You have no say!

You might not like the dilution of flying but more bases will/can provide for better QOL for our pilots. Sorry if it doesn’t work for you

My former regional gave up co-domicile in negotiations for a joint JFK/LGA base and didn't get much back in return. There are lots of things that make it miserable for a large portion of the pilot group. Things that were promised, like company provided transportation that weren't contractually guaranteed were slowly eroded.

I don’t see this group giving up anything without getting something in return. This isn’t a regional.
