This guy has been after F9 for a long time. Pretty sure that if F9 had broken any laws regarding consumer refunds etc during covid that they already would’ve been fined/penalized.

Let’s be honest Spirit isn’t helping by opening new bases where Frontier already has them, the doj doesn’t tend to like overlap and spirit is handing them more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Pilot domiciles do not equate to more or less overlap. It’s most likely not even a factor. We are putting pilots where we already have flying.
If anything it is showing how the two airlines compliment each other rather than oppose each other. We may have many of the same bases with many of the same routes, but both airlines are operating a lot of routes on opposite days. Routes that do overlap on a particular day are creating two rather than one flight option for the consumer between city pairs. If it were to be creating 15-20 flights a day between city pairs like if two legacies airlines were to merge, then we’re talking about real overlap. In the case of Frontier and Spirit though, the “overlap” is showing a real benefit to the consumer and a benefit of having both airlines as a combined entity. I’m sure there’s definitely a reason why NK base openings are occurring with the timing that they are. |

The reality is the govt will probably approve because, well money. But even though AA and USairways had little overlap they still didn’t like it https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...nd-us-airways/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah, but that was merging to form the largest airline in the country. A NK/F9 merge would still only be fifth largest.
