How’s that pay raise coming, Teddy? Diverting attention away from the real issue with this BS news. This place always leading from behind
|

I was reading the company email.
I didn’t realize we had a Spirit hanger in Houston? is it already open or about to open? Haven’t heard them talk much about this. |
Been open for a while

Any guesses if it will go senior?

It will be interesting to see how many DFW pilots elect to move to IAH as a base. More than a few profitably play the Y list game, and might continue to hold DFW as a base in name only.

And those sweet Y lists in IAH will now have tons of in base x lists for IAH too. Once it’s a base, more guys willing to pick up that gravy. FO gravy will still runneth over regardless of base.

lots of 10 hour 3-day with red eyes being offered. That, or trips with captain commander you-know-who. |

DFW x List was hot garbage in June. I went from 150 to 77 credit month to month.

By definition you can’t. I was just total scattershooting there, but it might, maybe behoove some to keep their DFW slot for seniority (or not) for bidding purposes. I don’t know how senior IAH will go given the commuter situation.

You couldn't be more wrong about Y listing in base. Jesus read 25.J a little more closely.

How will we ever get a great CBA or JCBA if so many have NO CLUE what our current contract is. I’m seeing this more and more with FOs that spent so little time at the regionals that they never spent time to learn the contract and just got abused. Come here and they take up the same mentality. Foreign pilots working for a non union carrier, and also corporate pilots are the same. Once you consolidate the CBA, it’s LOAs, and arbitration rulings should be your number one study item. |

As if they just committed a sin! |

And we also have plenty of 12 year guys who still haven’t found the section of the contract about expensing a cab after 30 minutes
Also. I’ve left the captain behind as an FO when he thought it was okay to wait. The CBA does not say captain, it is pilot. |

You go study the CBA, and I’ll not worry about knowing chapter and verse of a section that I never use. |

Clearly, we start by showing our backsides to strangers on the internet. That always gets things rolling.

Probably a good idea to not post false information about that section then.

Oh noes. Someone misremembered a section of the CBA. Probably the first time in recorded history it’s ever happened. I’ll be sure to have it out and handy before ever logging on to the internet again.
You would not believe the amount of times I have had an FNGFO complain about what happened to them on their last trip. Or their reaction when I showed them the chapter&verse in the CBA that would get them extra money. You will never know what section you will use if you don’t know them. I mean, you do you…. |

Or I could spaz out on the internet over this which will definitely convince others to start studying the contract. |

I mean, I am. It’s working out fine. My significant other’s work schedule and my eternal reserve status means I don’t go hunting for premium. If someone else wants to they’re free to read more on that section.

Not talking premium, just regular CBA stuff, most were while those FOs were on reserve. Feel free to leave free money on the table.
If an FO has a question I can answer or point out something they’re missing then I do. Or we look it up together. Case in point, I had a reserve FO who wouldn’t believe that he could only be scheduled for 14 hours max without agreeing to an extension. Ok, we’ll look it up and move on. But we don’t spend a lot of time debating contracts on my flightdeck. Most are regaling me with their looming interviews or class dates, and the ones who intend to stay tend to have more entertaining things to talk about. |
What does this have to do with Houston again???
