A good mix of everything. Reserve isn’t bad, holding a line is better. Hard to manipulate your schedule as a junior line holder because of the lack of reserves, though.

it’ll eventually get junior enough as the DFW pilots leave for American.

the last few DFW FOs I’ve flown with all have class dates at American. They describe their interview as a Spirit reunion, because the only other pilots at the interview are military. Since the military have their bonding thing the remaining civilian pilots at the interview have their spirit thing.

Trips have gone to mostly 2-day trips or 3-day trips. Which I guess isn’t bad for people who live in base, but kind of sucks for commuters.

Everything in opentime are garbage trips with 3 day trips worth 10 hours. Meaning you’ll need to work 6 days to make the same credit working a 20hour 4 day trip previously.

As a non commuter I find them very attractive, much like sitting on reserve not working.

exactly. The dude was saying nobody can get into Dfw, which isn’t true. They just aren’t opening vacancies to replace the attrition.
