So they’re going to run an 7000 pilot, 450 plane airline out of Florida, JFK/Boston and LAX?

I would call that unlikely. It wouldn’t surprise me if B6 would eventually shutter the bases in ORD and DFW, but they absolutely want to grow across the country in places where they are not in direct competition with AA who has a beneficial relationship with them in the r NE. DTW, ATL, LAS seem to fit the bill. ACY/PHL probably less so. IAH? Who knows?

I don’t think anyone has any clue how this eventually shakes out from the jet bridge to the C suite, but I suspect the all coast based airline is probably the least probable outcome.

 

It’s still amazing that people have such a hard time understanding this.

F9 = ORD/DFW/DTW smaller, if not gone

JB = WANTS to grow in the rest of the country, so why not use our existing bases to do so?

 

It’s still amazing this idea about F9 persists. There is no direct evidence in any way shape or form that bases will open or close with a merger of either airline.

There are rumors abound that DFW will be our next base since it has just as many daily departures or very close to the same amount as PHX opening up. ORD did shut down in what seems like a fit of rage against pilots but the FA base is still open. DTW? What makes you think that? The other rumored bases over the years have been CVG and CLE. DTW fills that spot nicely plus doesn't NK already have maintenance facility there?

F9 also “WANTS to grow the rest of the country so why not use the existing bases to do so?” F9 wants to be a real competitor just like B6. They have the exact same goal. Grow. You’re just guessing like the rest of us and passing it off as fact.

As FNG said, NOBODY knows what the plans are and anyone claiming to know are just talking to talk.

 

Ted told me that F9 would shut all of the bases down and just operate out of one singular airport….MLI

Robin told me something similar but they want to operate out MHK.

AA will gently tell (remind) JetBlue that AA is the food supply behind NE Alliance. Don't crap where you eat. They will also say we don't need you taking AA mainline customers at our fortress hub DFW

If anyone thinks different, they do not know how AA operates.

Wait... which one is it? Because JetBlue's CEO has said he doesn't want to close any of the Spirit bases, and intends to use them for growth. Now, obviously all of this is management speak, but I'm wondering what you think to be true or what you want to be true? Because what you said is simply anything but.

 

They operate with staggering debt, everyone knows that. Easy one
