God you guys are drama queens. I think the worst case SIL was like -7% for some captains. And JB said they wouldn't INCREASE the combined presence in FL, not shrink it. If your based there now you should be based there after a merger.

JB+NK won't have a fortress hub in FLL, but it will at least smell like one. They will maximize that as much as possible. They will also use their local name recognition to grow MIA as much as possible, if it makes economic sense to do so, which I suspect it will.
It would be similar to it's approach in NYC. They are at all times actively seeking more slots/gates at LGA/JFK/EWR.

HIGHLY disagree. If anything JetBlue will grow BOTH as much as possible.

I'm just the squeaky wheel. Give me ATL and I'll stay. Anyone know HOW the merger will go for Seniority? Both being ALPA doesn't mean much in terms of HOW they combine from everything I've read. Doubt staple to the bottom, but how would the zipper really go.

Atleast wait to see if there will actually be a merger first then we can all sound the alarm......."JFK IS COMING!! ARE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY FULLY PREPARED? ALL WILL BE LOST" <scary soundtrack>

Here is the cheat sheet: JetBlue is the more senior group, Spirit the more junior
So what that usually means, based on the highly likely StatCat/Longevity integration is:
Spirit pilots will be upset that they lose some relative seniority
JBlu pilots are upset that they are now junior to a Spirit pilot that has less longevity than they do.
Both sides are ****ed, its a good integration.
Questions remain for the arbitrator, will the 220s be integrated with the 320 series and will JBlu dump all of the 190s before any ISL, because those will most likely not be integrated with the 320 series.

JBLu is going to soon be the 5th largest airline, #4 down the road if deliveries as planned. I dont think their plan will be to allow SWA take their abandoned gate space.
