Or the other way of looking at it…it was done so they wouldn’t take a CA slot away in ACY and someone who’s been waiting months or years in ACY to hold that slot could get it. He was taking care of his own. Far from being a douche.
There will be plenty more ATL slots. Get over it.

You guys think the displacement is still coming? Many were under the impression that the displacement was at the behest of frontier. Now that JetBlue is the new dance partner will they call it off?
Granted, they already changed our flying in the displacement bases to fly one leg to southern bases, do the rest of the trip out of there, then one leg home.

What JetBlue does with base staffing in a few years IF/When this gets approved, is another question.

I think is definitely going to happen. They said just 3 days ago it’s still going to happen and it’s getting close to being ready to put out. I don’t agree at all that the need to realign bases was at the behest of Frontier. I hope people in displaced bases don’t think this has gone away because Franke is gone.

I highly doubt your assessment is close to being accurate because you’re basing it on speculation, and I assume, a little subjective based on you being in one of these bases.
But even if they can make a profit in these bases, the company has always, always, stated that they would not hesitate to move assets to other routes if they can make more money on other routes. This goes back to BBB, and probably hasn’t changed. If they can make $2 profit in market A vs $1 profit in market B, they will make the move if the numbers support it.
But you shouldn’t worry. Since you’re so set on this being a Frontier derived plan, you have nothing to worry about. Disregard what they said a few days ago, I’m sure it’s all over with now that Franke is out of the picture. Sadly I think you’ll be disappointed

Yup. That must be it. Company is still losing money but they could double departures in these bases and be profitable. 🙄

Wait, you have access to spirit's detailed finances? Is that how you know they are specifically losing money in the reduction bases? Why didn't they reduce them 5 years ago? Why did they grow them? Was it just a coincidence that they announced the merger and the reductions at the same time?
Not based on speculation btw. I fly in and out of these bases and every flight is oversold. Deadheads have become miserable.

Guess you missed the part where I said "honest question". Or are you just always a condescending know it all?

So you deadheading gives you the financial insight that you were just trying to give me crap about? Haha
Hey, just because planes are full, doesn’t mean they are profitably? Probably a pretty damn good chance they are full because we are having to compete so hard against AA and dropping fares to fill seats, as AA price matches us and takes a willing loss.
And your first question, I’ll happily be a “condescending know it all” towards someone who thinks
1)A reduction bid is only from Frontier and nothing to do with Spirit
2) You Deadheading and seeing full planes means they could double the flights and remain profitable in the shrinking bases.
But what do you have to worry about? You believe this is all because of Frontier, Frontier is gone, so why should you worry about the displacement, right? The bid software failing was just a lie by the company and union and they won’t be bringing it back soon, as reported a few days ago. You have nothing to worry about, all Frontier.
Way too many fumes absorbed on those deadheads, I fear.

This is how I see it, if a company official is saying something is going to absolutely happen after it’s already happened before, I have to plan for that. I can’t plan my career around “I bet they’re full of sh*t”.

Hilarious. You can’t say “I said ‘honest question’ and then continue with your own condescending tone. Doesn’t work like that. It’s like saying “with all due respect, your mama is ugly,” it doesn’t work.
