What does training pay and first year pay look like for a new FO? I wasn’t sure how accurate the pay chart was on APC. I am sure these have been asked before but what is typical reserve schedule looking like for new hires? Approx how long to hold a line. From what I have read on here due to the scheduling, commuting can be painful. I am just looking at options since I would probably have to commute from either Sacramento/Oakland.

Fairly certain they are a DFW FO and fairly senior. This is not the experience everywhere at all seniority levels.
perhaps not. Like I said. This is my singular experience but I am between 60-70% if that helps. I’ve held a line for less than a year. So far, it’s worked well but it may all be luck. Watch me get 12 days off next month and have to eat my words. |

At spirit? Close to zero. Everyone has this idea that "DEN ORD is the worst commute ever!!!"
I did it for years. Here's a piece of advice that will make the commute extremely easy. Delete United from your commuter flights list. If you use American, SWA, spirit and frontier, the commute is EASY. Very rarely did I share a JS or get kicked off one. LAS was a constant occurrence. And pretty much every DEN-ORD flight on united will have a united guy either already listed or they'll show 20-30 prior and bump you, that's why I say just remove them from your tries it'll make life easier |
