I am sure these have been asked before but what is typical reserve schedule looking like for new hires? Approx how long to hold a line. From what I have read on here due to the scheduling, commuting can be painful. I am just looking at options since I would probably have to commute from either Sacramento/Oakland.

I did it for years. Here's a piece of advice that will make the commute extremely easy.

Delete United from your commuter flights list.

If you use American, SWA, spirit and frontier, the commute is EASY.

Very rarely did I share a JS or get kicked off one. LAS was a constant occurrence.


And pretty much every DEN-ORD flight on united will have a united guy either already listed or they'll show 20-30 prior and bump you, that's why I say just remove them from your tries it'll make life easier
