What if management drags this out until JCBA? Are y’all willing to risk that not having a pay raise until a JCBA? Just curious where y’all stand if this is the case
Its embarrassing that our MEC would try to scare us into accepting this subpar contract, except for 12 year CA of course....remind me what payscale the negotiating committee falls under? Also, Im just gonna mention it on every post I make from now on: this TA lets the company raise 1st pay to 137 in the future without giving us anything. Look how well thats going for frontier right now. if we vote this in it never goes away. B6 will want it. it might not matter now but in 15 years... |
The question is this-
Had the JB numbers come out before the Spirit numbers, would this have been presented to you? |

One thing to consider. If we agree to this TA, we pretty much are saying we are not as good as JB pilots. I wonder how much ammo this will give them come SLI. I bet it works in there favor. I can already see their union saying. “Look we both had a TA at the same time and the spirit guys are looking to us to help them out and bring them up to industry average. Of course we should get better SLI percentages”. I know I would try it if I was a JB pilot.

I don’t see why it should change anyones vote. Anyone with a brain knew that new B6 deal was coming soon, and that it would be a good bit higher than ours. If people were thinking intelligently, they would’ve baked that into their assumptions before it happened. Then again, not everyone thinks that way

We didn't think much of it when it was a TA, but now, it's been a very significant thing. Frontier raised 1st year pay twice, started paying for hotels and added a sign on bonus. All of which didn't require the company to come to the union |

It was going to be close before, but after Jet Blue embarrassing our entire TA, it will easily fail 70-30.

First year pay and the subsequent attrition is not my problem. The union roadshow quantified just what this first year pay raise cost us in negotiating capital, and that cost is over 90 million dollars. That’s 90 million that is not going towards getting our pay to market rate. It is the largest cost component of this TA. I. WILL. NOT. FINANCE. ATTRITION. |

Pay no attention to these “no voters”. they’re not even gonna go to the roadshow and listen to what the other side has to say because their minds already made up that they have more experience that the NC. |

No doubt. Wouldn’t any airline pilot want every other airline pilot to fight for the most money. Why try and manage someone’s expectations down.

I do like that about ATL. I don’t have to waive at every pilot I see every 10ft

The beauty of internet forums is that you can be whoever you want.
$100 says deltadouche2022 is either a jealous baggage handler or a smurf with the TSA. Probably makes $40k/year and hates pilots. No chance in hell is he a pilot with any of the big 3...people doing better than the rest generally don't go out of their way to spew hate toward others in the industry. |

Had you entered this industry twenty years ago, you would be a regional jet lifer with the attitude you have. I am very happy you got in during this hiring climate. Please, say more. |

I once asked my rep (who apparently has changed their mind with this TA) why we cant just raise 1st year pay so that we are properly staffed and I was convinced that we cant give the company something they want (raising 1st year pay) without getting something in return. This gives that away. If this was the penultimate payscale and we didnt have to worry about future leverage then whatever, but I dont think it is. |
High first year pay and the ability to move first year pay are two very different things
