I've never watched anything similar before so I've had to go with Judge Young's history of getting out decisions rather quickly. Most of the heavy lifting on decisions is done by Judge Young's clerks.

My guess had been by Jan 19, although I gave high odds to the ruling being released this last week. I will stick with that, but my confidence in a quick judicial decision is decreasing.

but maybe because this is an unprecedented case, maybe he wanted to seem as if he was giving this more thought.
some quick googling suggest a Federal bench ruling takes anywhere between 4 to 8 weeks so I guess this is still within the ballpark.
