There is a big difference in less pleasurable work rules and less compensation.

There are so many things that are different that it really is like being at a different airline. One big thing is a single duty period changed from being worth 4 hours credit to 5 hours credit with PBS... but only for line holders. Reseerve stayed at 4. There are many ways to deal with this and most of our peers have addresed this with a higher guarantee or being paid average line value on reserve.

18 duty periods as a line holder pays 90 hours vs. 72 as a reserve, unless you bid an R period that spans two calendar days... and then it all depends on what trips you are assigned and/or if you break guarantee.

So take out all the quality of life things like being able to change your schedule, swap into a different base, etc. and you don't even get compensated the same for your time.

So read their contracts or ask your friends.
