That guy is my hero. Can any of you from UAL share what happened to him subsequently?

Short version: the case against the pilot fell apart, he was reinstated at United, and Denver paid him a settlement.
  • Who/what happened: United Airlines captain ****** ******* was arrested at the Westin hotel attached to Denver International Airport (DIA) on Sept. 20, 2018 after TSA employees reported seeing a naked man at a 10th-floor window. He said he was in his hotel room, thought he had privacy, and wasn’t aware anyone could see in. United suspended him for six months.
  • Criminal case outcome: A judge dismissed the indecent-exposure charge in 2019.
  • City settlement: The City of Denver paid ******* $300,000 in Nov. 2019 to resolve his wrongful-arrest claim.
  • Civil suit vs. hotel: ******* later sued the Westin DIA; that civil case was dismissed in Jan. 2021.

lol, that idiot is not the guy he was asking about. He was asking about the pilot who took an axe to a parking gate.

I was told that UA allowed him to retire and he’s now flying a transport category aircraft for some prince in the M.E.

Who knows tho

Sounds likely. I assumed that he was prepared to retire when he got out of his car with the axe. IIRC he was over 60.

I’d like to buy that guy a few rounds, because admittedly we all feel like that at times.

Then maybe I need to switch domiciles to DEN when I’m approaching 65 and make sure my employee parking is in that lot 😬

it was fixed that day. Then they switched to a different license plate reader instead of an NFC tag. Works vetter but occasionally there are issues but not that bad
