now that has more relevance to NK than the ANA 76 hard landing....

what we really need is Ram and Scott to talk about who they are voting for this fall with respect to their religious back ground(s)

JustTheCole thinks allegiant is buying us and that we need an in house union and that the cba will be void if we get bought. Sounds like an indigo employee to me.

Well,
1. do you think this is not a possibility?
2. Do you think our ALPA merger committee can handle it if it does happen? - oh yeah, we don't have one.
3. Will Admiral Scott be up to traveling to LAS to give ALGT scheduling the A$$ camera? - If we still have a contract.

2. Yes, even without one currently, yes.

3. Hell yes

Just like RAM says , who cares what "Just the Friggn Cole" is, does or thinks, I'm friggn tired of this Benny hinn's Joel Austin's wanna be's with their revelations from their private book club, get Laid and get a life.

That's what I would say. to Cole about his theory.

Orbit 06-27-2012 02:34 AM

Any care to guess how senior LAS will go under a combined seniority list?

? When was Spirit started? Allegiant? The most junior Capt at both airlines?

What about work rule differences?

Section 1
Successorship:
"The provisions of this agreement shall be binding upon any successor or merged company or companies unless or until changed in accordance with the provisions of the railway labor act, as amended."

So the company would get the union in full legal capacity and have to bargain with ALPA.

Allegiant most junior CA: Nov 2007
Spirit most junior CA: May 2007 and getting younger

Allegiant started in 1997
Spirit started in early 1980's as charter, most senior person on list is 1990.

I don't know the work rules of Allegiant, but Spirit has some pretty good ones (my opinion). In any case, the pilots would hopefully negotiate up to the better provisions of either set, and have appropriate fences for a set time. It would be interesting, for sure.

What I have to say...

Cole was absolutely right about the IPO while the MEC Fuk'ed up on that one. Remember the MEC's "We will never IPO!" rant at the first roadshow in FLL? Cole (and his friendly contact) insisted time and again that we should not leave out an ESOP in the new CBA. One month after signing, Spirit files to go public (slap! slap!)

Cole was right about the new Airbus orders. He missed the timing of the actual announcement by a couple of months (geez, that would be too much to get right don't you think?), but had info of the impending orders. The plans were to be one airplane a month ...well, the actual is 7 a year and growing to 10 a year. Pretty good if you ask me.

Hell, he was even right about Franke allowing us to strike and even the number of days we would be on strike (months before it happened). And I heard it personally from him. "They will let us strike for 5 days, then hand us proposal #1." This is when I thought "no way in hell they're gonna let us walk." He was right.

And he was damn right about the big party at BBB's mansion after this TA was signed. It did happen...

He does have contacts, so don't disparage his info...especially if YOU have none. If anything, you should thank him for sharing what he knows.

point taken flyer, sorry, all who were offended by my post, please accept my apologies. Cole was, is and most likely will be right.

I say then, let's get ready to merge with Allegiant Airlines. MEC, please get a Merger comittee going NOW!

Yea ALPA really beat up SWA for the AirTran guys. Don't even think of other options.

Does anyone know what money INDIGO has in Allegiant? This may turn out to be simply the consolidation of two assets.

You probably don't put anything in the secondary "just in case" either, right?

Sailor 06-27-2012 12:11 PM

Just talked to my Agnt source (), and he's also hearing rumors about a buy out of NK. Also knows of 40-50 buses to be leased and more on order as well, will not show on the airbus AC order spread sheet, its a special order.

Also looking for a training Mgr for the bus program.

...so Cole was/is right, flyer, please accept my apologies, we are on our way to be a ULCC monster, I just hope we get to keep our jobs.

He says that they will love and integration, since a lot of their FO, may just end up being sr to our FO's, cash is king and if they buy, they get to say...

Jedinight 06-27-2012 12:25 PM

Sailor the reason they 40-50 Airbus's are not on the books is because they are used. ALGT does not lease Planes like Spirit they buy them, old and used. 40 - 50 planes are comming from over seas. I think old easy-jet planes or something like that.

Now my question is if they buy us will they keep the ALGT name or use Spirit.

More people in Latin America know who Spirit is they will have a tough time saying Allegiant. **** I have a rough time even spelling the word Allegaint or is it Allgent no its Allegiant.

I rather be espiritwing any day.

That's what I meant about 40-50 leases, not new. But in any case, I think the least of our worries should be the name, as long as we keep our seats, or improve, they could name it the "flying t==d".

Jedinight 06-27-2012 08:05 PM

Keep our Seats, Base and AC type for the short term, was hoping for a Capt. upgrade next year lets see what happens.

Wait. This is all still 'rumor' right?!

Actually NOT, this t=rd has got so big THAT already happen, I can't imagen what’s going on on the other board. Cole with keeps us up to date; it'll trickle down eventually. We have nothing else to do than to feed the monster!! I've heard that NK is dusting the old 80 FTD, I dont know!

Dilbert 06-28-2012 04:15 AM

It's fun to speculate. We all do it. Human nature. But the truth is we cannot control what spirit does or does not do to itself anymore than the pilots at air tran could. As always, we are along for the ride.

shiftwork 06-28-2012 05:09 AM

Maybe he can come up with some "good stuff" every 7 days and call it, "Tip of the Weak"?

DHC2floater 06-28-2012 05:19 AM

We've had this same rumor at Allegiant for over a year now.

BSOuthisplace 06-28-2012 05:28 AM

Is Xtra airways doing flying for you guys? I was in LGA yesterday and saw a Xtra 737 and it sounded like they were using the "spirit wings" callsign.

falcon2000aj 06-28-2012 06:12 AM

Yes, xtra is doing some flying for us. I almost put them down in the TOTD post. I was in ACY Fri evening and the xtra pilot berated our ops lady because he had a long delay going to LGA... I could go on about how he mentioned he's been doing this since 1997... But I won't...

BSOuthisplace 06-28-2012 08:16 AM

Was the company given temporary scope relief to do this while they wait for a/c deliveries or what?

falcon2000aj 06-28-2012 08:35 AM

Not sure. I do know we have multiple A/C down while they implement our seat mx program...

Plane Ramrod 06-28-2012 11:17 AM

They are allowed "90 days per occurrence" as long as there are no furloughs due to contracting out the flying

Dilbert 06-28-2012 03:27 PM

You know JustTheCole, for someone who constantly beatches about our concessionary contract, it boggles me that you don't realize that Pref Bidding would be a concessionary move by this pilot group...

I'm glad your on your own double secret DBB. (Douche Bag Board)

Our 319 seats are getting pretty beat up so we are putting new interiors in them. I think we have 2 planes going through at a time to get the same seats the 320s have.

Guys, watch out for 602. Take your time and seriously consider an ASAP just to make sure you are covered. You could spend an hour in the book and still not get through everything.

nattyboh 06-30-2012 02:43 PM

Can someone share some info about the ACY base? How many crews? Pairing structure? Line Structure? Dropping trip flexibility? OT availability? How long on reserve and reserve obligations (ie 2 hr call out.) Anything else that would seem pertinent for someone living in North Jersey looking to work for Spirit.
