Looks like marketing will be adjusting the ORD-LAS flight to depart and arrive 1 minute earlier. This should bring the lines back into compliance.

So it will be scheduled legally but what if the flight is running 1 minute late or your gate isn't open after landing? You would go into day 7.

Also how would this be legal. They will award the schedule and then change it so it's legal? What's to stop them from doing that every month with every schedule?

They made their own bed with this crap, I say we let them sleep in it.

The difference is scheduled vs actual. Scheduled is not legal, but if you're on duty already then delayed its ok.

I agree with your statement, but there isnt much I can do about it. There is past practice with this issue, and in the past when dealing with an on/off duty issue around the midnight hour the company has remedied the issue by adjusting their flight schedule to accomodate the CBA restrictions. As long as all pilots schedules are CBA compliant there isnt much that can be done.

Cappy, you eventually got around to the correct point, however past practice has nothing to do with it. The problem was that the pairing was 1 minute illegal, now it's not - problem solved. The schedule is now exactly how we voted for it to be.

That being said, anybody want to bet the departure time posted at the gate will still be the original time?

I can't believe the memo about the company not paying for KCM unless you guys would entertain contract concessions. With so much profitability, can't they throw one bone a pilots way.

I am surprised that people are surprised by this. What in the current Spirit Regimes history made anyone think for even 1/1000th of a second that the company would pay for something to benefit us.

Qotsaautopilot 09-15-2012 09:08 PM

I suggest you all start writing ALPA. A ton of your dues went to developing and implementing this program. It will soon be in almost all of spirits domestic cities. ALPA needs to figure a way to get you in the program.

I think writing to ALPA is a total waste of time for many reasons, but mainly for the fact that APLA already knows that it’s something that would benefit us and somewhat the company. ALPA should already be working towards this with out having the membership begging for it, but then again.

I do believe the have attempted to reach NK about it and found the always reluctant invisible wall.

Maybe JH could push for it before he parts…And I believe the approval of KCM would be a better legacy that new Uniforms:rolleyes:.

Just my opinion.

Exactly correct! I am impressed with your second derivative supris-ed-ness.

We have what we bargained for. Any changes in the interim is a give and take. A lot of B'ing on the B'board about the removal of the HAT from the new uniform. Someone had the idea to trade the hat for KCM - maybe something SPA ALPA might want to look into

Spirit has a union???

Spirit is an ALPA carrier.

Seems that guys like Sourgrapes ( a Spirit pilot I believe) see no obvious evidence of a union at Spirit. Judging from the last 109 local meeting, I'll say that the membership isn't showing much interest either.

Note to all. If you want to carp and complain, show up at the next meeting. Show up, stand up, speak your piece.

But....but.....but.....it's far too easy to just whine about the perceived problems on the internet. Too many guys are just happy to let someone else take care of the work so they can fly their trips and go home to complain on the interwebz about the work of others.....

Good for them, we went thru DFW this week, crazy how slow planes can taxi..
I hope they get what they deserve.

On another note, without being political, a great number of pilots specially at AMR, are well known Republican conservatives, now , wouldn't this action against the solvency of a major corp be against all the republican/conservative believes?

Crxp like -If you don't have what I have is because you are the lazy type?-

just wondering if we pilots are just swingers by convenience. Ypu know being a pro-agaist union type of job.

What? , I was talking about us pilots complaining about the underachievers always trying to get something from the overachievers with out good old fashion hard work, but yet we manage to go against that very same institution with our inner lefty ideas,

The wealthy that tell us that we can be like them if we try hard enougth if we embrace it, in still waiting.

Planes and trains with Obama, I just can link it to the AA action going on!

No FLL isnt being downsized. The remainder of the open trips for Oct just aren't available to be viewed yet for some reason.

I was referring to the rest of October trips on open time.

Anyway, 12 on rsv, 13 or more with hard lines. (I think)
Normally you get 15-18 days off with hard lines.
