N515NK and N519NK seen in MIA. Anyone know the status? Looks like new paint jobs.

N501NK was involved in the windshear accident operating for Windjet in Italy and then scrapped. N515NK is in Miami.

I sat next to a JetBlue pilot on a flight once who said they ferry their A320s to the paint shop in New Mexico every 5 years for a repaint. 534 came in Feb 2008 and has factory paint. My guess is at most airlines, it would be due for a compete repainting. I'm sure we will fly it until all the white paint has fallen off and they have to spray paint "Spirit" on the side in blue.

Keep in mind that paint isn't just design. It is corrosion prevention. That is why jet blue does it. I guess the skin gets the same attention as the leather seats.

Yep! It's looked like a kid used finger paint on the rivets for years. Now all the finger paint is coming off. Looks bad.

Our new A320 just did its acceptance flight this morning. It doesn't have sharklets for those wondering.
