Airbus pay? Our Airbuses have the same number of seats as legacy 757s! (300 series excepted).

-300 series included. 224 seats on the DAL 757-300s. Sounds quite familiar huh?

Why? It's something they can add to their resume and their UAL and DAL job applications.

Apparently the Legacies eat that kind of stuff right up.

Even if they happen to be standing next to the CEO, the CEO isn't aware of what's on their job applications elsewhere.

Are you kidding? Our leaders don't say peep about anything of substance. The only word we get are status reports about negotiations and those don't do much more than tell you how slow things are moving.
I get that they're trying to temper expectations but other than that there is very little in the way of leadership coming from the MEC. What a way to set the tone for the pilot group.

Just listened to podcast from Friday. Bendo said he's commited to getting us a fair deal and said something about not just being there for pay discussions.

Does this mean he's going to be negotiating in place of "Jyri-OTrash"

I actually think the current mec leadership is excellent. I have confidence that they are balancing aggressiveness with prudence and calculation.

Is the company getting nervous? Was told the other day about some special operation taking place very soon... Maybe Bendo caught wind of our momentum, unity and utter displeasure with management and is starting to worry...??

These scumbags aren't worried. If they cared about anything (or worried) our ON time Wouldn't be as dismal as it is.

Rainman just licks his Vanila Ice Cream cone and Jyri & Bendo are too busy telling us we can't have nice things because we are an ULCC while they make millions to run a truly ****ty operation.

Happy F------ Mother's Day. If Jyri sends us an email to go fly id expect a an email from our Union telling us time off during the holidays is invaluable and don't be pressured into helping the operation .

And F----- off if you think it's a job action because it's not. It's a recommendation to not feel pressured to fly. IMO an email from Jyri asking us to pick up open time is disgraceful and should be illegal

My question is, why volunteer to work for the company for free when we could really use a pilot volunteering for free for our union, i.e. no trip drops. Thats a volunteer. The union needs to send a strong message to the pilots and management that we only work as members of ALPA in paid positions for this company. This is just like the old PFT schemes, and for those of you claiming that pilots do the same at other airlines, please name one. All pilots are paid either via company trip drops or union sanctioned trip drops as part of a committee. NO PILOT FOR ANY OTHER ALPA CARRIER VOLUNTEERS TO WORK JOB FAIRS FOR FREE AND PAYING THEIR OWN HOTEL! OUR FAS ARE PAID FOR ALL JOB FAIRS AND HIRING EVENTS! LOW TIER TO THE END!

I personally don't want our MEC leadership discussing anything in public of substance via an email, podcast, or any other medium other then face to face. I think the silence of our MEC speaks volumes. The company is having to carry its own water, and frankly the bucket has holes.
