OR, someone needs specific days off and didn't get them on their bid or IOT. Daily open time is allowed in the contract, the ability for me to change my schedule easily is a big QOL factor and now some want to limit that?

It'd be a great thing if people worried about themselves and not what others are doing.

I see now that the open time is slowly stabilizing to normal levels which leads me to believe this group is just as impotent as I feared.
You guys couldn't even do it for one month. Why? Because "no one will know if I just pick up one turn". That's why we need the list.
Trying to send a signal and failing is worse than never trying at all. I predict less than 20 ppl in Houston. I don't even know why I bother.
Instead of worrying about the impotence of the group, you should be concerned with your own foolishness. I am dumbfounded by your post.

Yup, just road on AA and the 27 year FO said the exact same thing. We are not the only ones with this problem

Guilty as charged. I've been working on reducing my foolishness level for many years. Change is slow. However, you haven't answered my concerns. Why can't we have a simple show of force for just one month. Just one? Not all summer, not all year. Just June. As long as you can get 'just enough' you'll keep slaving away instead of seeing the big picture and sacrificing for ONE MONTH. Hence, the list. Will you be on it?

Exactly! It's not an easy task paying for multiple medical bills long after a family member have passed. This is speaking from personal experience. I'm not saying i'm picking up open time for this reason. I'm just point out that, there's situation like mine that others are going through.

I don't think the OP is referring to the guys with medical bills and what not. It's the "I have to credit 100+ hours to pay for my 3 boats or BMW" guys that are not helping our cause. Oh well, we have zero leverage, management that disrespects us over and over again and pilots lining up to volunteer! Sackless group! CBA 2025

He probably was but again how do you police that? Simply, you can't. It sucks we have guys that put themselves in a position where they need to credit 100+ a month to live and care about nothing else.

You want to have what AA used to have? Credit capped at 85 hours to prevent open time abuse?

AA-don't want that at all. Just want guys to stand together for awhile to put some pressure on.

This is right on.

Guys are talking about the vast minority with the medical bills etc and they know it. They're just being argumentative
