You talk about pilots working for premium pay shooting themselves in the foot, all the morons trying to talk up an organized job action on a public forum are potentially setting us back YEARS.

Petulant children having a temper tantrum.
. Petulant children having tantrums often get what they want. Just like baseball bat weilding union leaders did in this country 50 years ago.

Verizon workers just got significant raises. I really wish we were able to strike whenever we wanted

Default ALPA

I've never understood why ALPA seemingly makes no effort to overturn the RLA. You would think that would be their (our) highest priority.

No petulant kids over here.
Just a few motivated individuals trying to make things move.
I see you're the other guy.

In all the industries I've been in (3 of them unions) I've never seen a more self censoring, self limiting and fearful bunch.

You haven't heard boo from anyone other than our feckless leaders who might just be in bed with management and you're running for the hills. Your layman understanding of law has caused you to conflate many areas and in your confusion you take the safe bet against your fellow pilots, you do the bidding of management.
There is a difference between prudence and fear. We had the initiative but I see short term greed has won again.
Disgusting.

You do know every time a new captain gets his wings they build her a line using open time right?

It is far more effective to keep your head down BEFORE it gets shot off.

Fear? Nope, just been here before. I've seen this movie, which I'm guessing you haven't since you've been in three different industries. Any of them covered under the RLA? Like I said, all you are doing is making your reps/ NC job more difficult, and drawing resources away from negotiations where they belong.
