It's easy to be an anonymous Internet tough guy, I'm trying to ground you in the reality of your situation. Unfortunately your not educated enough (in this matter) to know any better.
The good news for you is they cancelled a few flights already tonight. That being said, my phone hasn't rung (nor would I answer if they did - my choice, not yours). You may be getting set up for the job action acusation. That's all they need right now, just put it in their pocket until it's time to start talking release with the NMB.
I didn't vote for you, and personally wish you would stop trying to help me.

And quit trying to scare everyone. Management hasn't even approached the union yet and asked them to ask us to stop. That's the first step. And we have many more steps to go before your dreaded job action accusation. Why are you really so worried? Do you think we will go farther faster if we just go along with managements pace? Do you think the current Union plan of appeasement is the right move?
I've called for a much more muscular tone. Billboards, newspaper ads, and pilots should minimize added flying. I will add that I only support legal actions which I believe all these are. I've never called for a sick out or a slow down.
As a line pilot I have every right to complain and ask for others to pressure our union leaders and management into action. Why you're so afraid to join us in expecting everyone to fly only their awarded line until a TA is had is beyond me. I'll say it again, there is nothing wrong, illegal or unethical with expecting each other to fly only their awarded line.

I agree the last thing I would want is a SWA merger. I also agree that red/green is a non-negotiable.
But to be a captain making fo wages and then dropping tons of time to make rj wages- that's a part time job. I'd say this a career for most so that's not an option. I know you see all sides but many of the hobbists don't. Hobbists will to forego money just to have 22 days off a month need to just go work at Starbucks for fun because they obviously don't need this job to be a career.

You need to just go work at the majors because obviously you need to make more money because you can't live within your means. You need to take a second job at Starbucks to pay your electricity bill because obousivly you can't live with less than delta pay and enjoy life at home. 15 days off is the maximum you should have. 22? That's crazy. If you have 22 off your a hobbiest .
Ugh I feel so douchy now. Is this what it feels like to be a internet warrior?
And thanks guys for all the negotiation and illegal work action chatter on here. It's nice that y'all are so open with stuff. yall are really helping everything along. This board is full of so many great ideas and influential individuals. I think I'm going to pick something up so I don't get labeled a "hobbiest"...

Who the hell are you to judge and label others. I'm sure you will have some wise ass remark or derogatory comment to make. That's fine, just hanging out enjoying all my time off. Now back to dropping the rest of my month, is this a great hobby or what.
