What bases would be attainable for a new hire?

Depends on the month, one minute it is FLL, next is DFW, ACY is a guaranteed domicile if you want it. The others you will be at either before training ends, or within a few months.

With all the hiring going on all bases are attainable quickly after hitting the line. 1-3 months after IOE...

taking a couple of months off from this place has done wonders for my blood pressure, i suggest everyone does it. It's been a good time, hope you guys get a contract real soon. Cant pass up WN when they come a calling. Good luck guys.

Are people still having to attend a job fair in order to get an interview or has that gone away with the hiring demand? Also any guesses on what first year pay y'all are pushing for In the new contract? That's the only thing keeping me from applying right now.

If you are bored, you can check out Inflation Calculator | Find US Dollar's Value from 1913-2016 and compare our current pay rates from Contract 2010 to see the equivalent pay in 2016.

For example: our top Captain pay would have had to increase from $185 to $203 over that span just to keep up with inflation.

That is something I will be thinking about when we consider how much of a raise is offered to us in the next TA vs the QOL and work rules that are contained in that TA.

I'm confused, are you waiting for SWA to call for interview or did you get hired there?

Your mileage may vary with not attending a fair. For sure, there's a very high chance of a call after going to a fair. In the meantime, I would apply and get someone to internal rec you if you know anyone at Spirit.

If you are at a regional then I highly recommend getting the process underway. You are losing seniority every day you aren't on property. We will get a contract. Inside of 12 months from now is my guess. Then you'll be way too late and a dollar short. Going somewhere that your paycheck matches the name on the airplane is highly recommended and much more stable than any regional out there today.

Meh, let him and every other qualified person not apply here. Let the company feel the pain.
