Default Training Material

I'm scheduled to start indoc soon, and am looking to prepare ahead of time as much as is reasonable.

I know they'll likely supply everything I need once in indoc, but I'd like to be ahead of the game where I can.

Systems, GOM, contract info, etc. would be great.

Thanks in advance for any help! Looking forward to my start date.

They should send you the limitations section a week or 2 before you start. Thats really all you need to be prepared with. I also wanted to try and prepare as much as I could before I started, but as long as you come in ready to study and cut out as many distractions as you can, it will be a breeze. Just enjoy your free time before training and try not to stress about it, the training department is good and is here to help.

Some people might like to have the flows down ahead of time, that would be helpful. Also memory items, even tho there are only 5. Did they give you the posters yet? The pre-flight pictorial and systems should wrap it up. Read through the contract after training...so you don't change your mind haha

Wish I had free time to enjoy before showing up. Stuck on ready reserve all month at my regional..

I know SY's contract isn't the best, but I'd rather know how to play the game as best I can and not let a company walk all over me.

Can't get ahold of the particular person who I believe I'm supposed to get the pre-indoc information from, so I figured I'd throw out a request on here. I totally understand what you're all saying, but I'd still rather page through and familiarize myself with some training material while I'm on ready reserve than play games on my phone all day.

Thanks again for the replies!

I understand one of those acronyms after a year and a half. They haven't fired or failed me yet 😂. Honestly you'll have more than enough time to learn what you need to know and our training department does a great job. If you have prior 121 it's pretty easy, the curriculum assumes you have basic working knowledge of the regs. If you don't have prior 121, I'd suggest learning the applicable regs via the everything explained book before class.
