Sim is certified, allegedly it was supposed to be in use as of today, I don't know if that happened.

Pilots that live in base do not want to spend nights away from home. Becoming a senior FO is becoming tougher for newly hired pilots as the lack of pilots upgrading makes that list longer and longer. Unless you are bidding in the tops 30 in both seats you aren’t doing pure day trip lines. In the winter months those day trip lines increase a little.

Does anyone know the current hiring requirements for FO? The website is contradicting itself where on the job listing it says "Successful completion of ATP/CTP course and current ATP Written", however, on the benefits page, it says "Paid ATP-CTP certification".

ATP or not just apply and see what they say about it.

When the recession hits I’d rather be at SY than any other US airline. Safe bet.

Some have been hired without and there is a process for getting the ATP as a new hire, so you definitely can apply and see what happens.

The company has pulled back on hiring. No interviews until 2023. Classes filled out to May. Class sizes Jan and Feb reduced to 10.

Think about who you’re competing against- current 121 pilots and 135 captains with years of experience. Go to a regional.

Bridge students from the partner programs get ATP/CTP.

All true, but hiring people out of Kai's company is considered humanitarian aid so that's an extra resume point.

J/k. Still, when you have a chance to get your app in, do so. If you want to accelerate your chances and timeline, go to a regional. If you are happy with things where you are, ride it out for a while there and see if you can get a call.
