with all the overhead of a new base it probably evens out. Might as well put that money in pilots pockets (and deviate on both ends of a trip) instead of paying for a crew room/moving expenses/extra reserve coverage/ all the other expenses with opening a base. When DFW is busy in the summer yea might make sense but the rest of the year they’d be paying TDY anyways. Either TDY or reserves sitting around unused which is very expensive. Seems like what was negotiated would be cost neutral. TOA trips sound great. Wish they offered them more often.

Management has no ability to open new domiciles without Union cooperation. The union is going to hold onto that leverage until contract time. Same with improving reserve life for upgrades. No point giving it to the company without getting something in return with a whole contract to re-negotiate.
Also no chance in hell we're looking at AVL as a domicile.
CVG? probably

TPA? probably
RSW? probably
DFW? probably
LAS? probably
