Reserve isn't fun but our pm reserve starts at 11am so you can usually commute in morning of and can often get released early on the last night if they don't have a turn for you. I've been commuting for nearly two years so it's completely doable, though your qol living in Msp would be better but that could be said for anywhere, just depends on what you want.

Just curious, where do you commute in from?

Default Contract Questions

Hi Guys, I'm thinking about applying and coming over to SCA (upon successful interview of course). Could someone on property answer the following?

1) Do you have min day pay?
2) Current upgrade times for someone just getting on property?
3) Open time straight pay or premium?
4) Min days off?
5) How many pilots is SCA planning to hire?

Thanks ahead of time.

No min day, 4.2:1 trip rig.
About 3 years.
Open time is 150%.
10-11 reserve. Line holders anywhere from 13-21.
Depends on growth and attrition. Staff 12 pilots per aircraft. (6/6) (CA/FO).

It says instructor on profile. What are you teaching?

My profile is old, I'm at the regionals. I keep my CFIs active and teach now and then to keep the GA side alive. Thanks for the info, SCA is looking very attractive since I live in Minnie.

I can't figure out the hiring process now. It seems to have changed from when I got hired. I would say apply and try to get FaceTime at a meet and greet. It sounds like the 800 pound gorilla has taken over....
