The Airbus 300-600 is a great jet. The A-310 a little less so. If the autobrake selection is in Max, the jet stops so quickly that it might actually come to a complete stop before the autobrakes are released by the crew. The first time I had a landing with Max selected, it stopped so quickly, I didn't even have time to deploy the reversers. It's an eye opening experience.

As a side issue, ECAM is way better than any alert driven system (that Boeing makes), because the jet at all times knows what problems it has and presents, in plain english, the correct checklist as well as the schematic of the system involved, so that when you press a tile and move a valve, you can actually see that valve move. Very cool and very smart. You've gotta remember that these Airbuses were built for 3rd world nations to fly. So a guy could actually park his camel (as an example), and climb into and fly an airbus. The Boeing and MD products all require much more system knowledge, which can be a good thing, or a very bad thing at 3 AM after having flown all night.

And the tail has never fallen off the SAAB yet. Maybe it's just me.. I kinda like when the tail stays intact with the rest of the fuselage, make the plane much easier to fly

Uh, Jetjok... I think you mean to say land with Medium autobrakes, right? If you landed with Max, we would have ALL heard about it on another forum.
