Even if that did happen and I was just blissfully unaware, it's not like that is normal or sustainable (eg something OP should expect), it would have been a one time thing. Yes, they did wash a lot more people out from training back then and extra sim time was much harder to come by, but a sustained rate of 2 for 44 would be severely disruptive to ops and eventually bankrupt any small RJ operator. Not to mention get a lot of staff in the training department sent back to the line/fired.
Washout at skywest is no where on that washout rate. There is about 2-4 that will not make it through. Generally (from what ive heard) those are the guys that have a poor training record, or never flown things other than GA for 20 years.

OP you'll have no problem getting through anyone's training. Just do what you're told and you'll be fine.

The only issue with SkyWest is all classes (CRJ and ERJ) are full through to early 2020 and its not letting up. If that doesn't bother you then I'd agree with most others. However I have heard washouts in last few months have increased steeply...is it true? No idea. Just word on the street.

SkyWest washouts have decreased, some months down to 0, due to the company being able to be more selective in hiring now.
