Any LUAL pilot that votes for this TA, is voting to destroy the careers of the bottom 2000 guys on the seniority list.
We now consider the UAL MEC unethical trash for throwing us under the bus and caving to the CAL MEC.
Each LCAL pilot receives FULL longevity credit for ALL time on furlough. 1999-2001 hires at UAL receive none.
This is just plain SLI manipulation.
Vote no people. Do the right thing and BE a union.

I will be voting no, not just for the above reasons but that is of course part of it.
I agree with the mec comments but there were 3 that voted against this the chicago fo rep and sea.

I'm still amazed at this blatent disregard of the seniority rights and longevity owed my fellow union members, by none other that our fellow union members.
There are a few of our brethren who stand to benefit from this travesty at our expense. In essence, taking from us what it rightfully ours. There's a word for that.
My no vote is the beginning. I will not forget.

Unless this changed in the TA, this is incorrect. LCAL post-9/11 furloughees received no longevity credit unless they took a voluntary LOA instead of the furlough. Even those who were furloughed to jobs at ExpressJet returned to LCAL with zero longevity credit. Thus, someone who took a LOA and flew for JetBlue for 5 years came back to LCAL on a 5 year payscale, while someone who took the ExpressJet flowdown returned to year zero pay rates.

Here's my take: you're operating from the assumption that UAL ALPA actually wants us back! It's what they say, but their actions to date have certainly indicated otherwise. What good does it do them to get us back on property? A bunch of ****** on, ****ed off pilots who represent a pretty big voting block that will just make trouble in the future? It's probably better for them to just go get new hires who haven't been scorched (yet). I don't buy for one second the rhetoric that has flowed from every MEC chairman since 2001. If they wanted us back, we'd be back. This JCBA will effectively make it so unappealing to return that they will cut our numbers in half, probably more.
