This is terrible for those folks... I hope this entire industry can recover rapidly for jobs to be available to these guys.

Wow... 2 weeks notice to the day. I hope Hulu honors his end and pays the balance of bonuses and vacation time. What a d bag. Good luck guys and gals. FYI, if you're fired you don't owe training contract monies. I would guess that applies to being laid off as well...

Never flew on TSA but I've had some in the jumpseat, especially recently. All cool guys, sucks.

C5 guy here. Just wanted to say that four of the ten or so captains I bid to fly with here are former TSA. Amazing people. One guy showed me the most perfectly executed landing I've ever seen done in a 145. He taught me how to land the airplane. TSA people rule as far as I'm concerned. You'll be welcomed far and wide. Don't lose hope.

Sorry guys and gals. This is horrible news on top of even worse news.
Worked for a company (non-aviation) that shut down. I learned that when a company permanently lays off more than 60% of there employees, you qualify for retraining benefits. So, if you always wanted to finish a college degree, pick up another rating or whatever, check with your state for how to qualify. In Texas they offered me $80k towards a degree.
