I guess if they are taking out overnight MX in IAD, then I guess we are going to have to start carrying rolls of duck tape in order to fix the planes ourselves.

Just read the memo. So much for the growth that we were all hoping for. Starting to get the pre-furlough feeling again.

I don't think that's going to happen since I'm not on property. I think I'm going to make a few calls to some friends. I wish everyone the best of luck.

I work at Dulles as an A&P (For MAG). We work next to TSA mechanics. It's sad 22 mechanics (all nightshifters) lost their jobs yesterday just like that. No notices no nothing it was more like "Hand over your badge" and "don't let the door hit you on the way out". A few lucky ones are being sent to day shift. I wish all the Waterskier's all the best.

This doesn't really affect anyone other than the people that lost their job. I don't get what growth some of you were expecting. The recalls are just for attrition. The only growth at Trans States is at Compass and Gojet.

On an unrelated note: When did the last requal class start? When are those guys slated to finish with sims and OE?
And related to my original post: So, we have no flight managers anymore and a newly created assistant chief pilot? Is that about right? Shame that DH got the boot... he was a good guy IMO.

Hey Carl, Wazup?
I'm not sure if you are referring to the guys that are already in re-qualification, or the guys that are in the process of sending in their responses with regards to the mandatory recall. For the mandatory recall guys it sounds like May will be the month for classes. Who is the new ACP? Is it DG?
Take care.

Yep, it is... And it is a shame about DH, he was a stand-up guy... Helped me out a bunch of times...

From what I've heard, DG is the new ACP.
