The Lufthansa system is pretty slick. If the company buys the full system, it integrates payroll, scheduling, drops/swaps/pickups, and dispatch. Instead of having all these different logins you will have one for the entire system. It greatly reduces the amount of payroll discrpancies, and if it is like the Lufthansa system I used before, it makes submitting them much easier as well.

The issue has nothing to do with the company other than their decision to go cheap and use crewtrac for payroll. Anybody that uses crewtrac should print out every change to the schedule as crewtrac will not keep a history of changes and check every change to your schedule to make sure the times add up.

Pilottim79 doesn't have a clue what is going on at XJT ( now he does know what is going on at TSA and that is all.) XJT just hired 4 full time recruiters ( basically they pulled four pilots offline and our paying them an over ride to do this.) We would not being doing this to just wanted to keep up with attrition. We have lost 743 pilots this last year. Now 50 of them did go to other Regionals to chase the shinny jet. So basically that is a net of 690 to the Majors and corporate jobs. Out of these we have lost 417 FOs. Take out the 50 and that is 367 FOs to Majors or Corporate jobs. I am not going to tell anyone where to go, but as far as any on furloughing that will not happen at XJT. Also we just hired a new COO, Alex Alexandria, google her and look where she worked before she came here. She has ties to the Majors especially United. If you have questions about TSA Pilottim79 is your man, but if you have any other questions about other regionals he is out of the loop. Also XJT just opened up hiring for Check Airman. We would not need these if were going to furlough or shut down ( it cost money to train Check Airman.) By the way we have already started parking Aircraft. We need to be right sized to keep up with attrition. I also predict we will loss over 800 to 900 guys next year to attrition.
But seriously I don't know how exited I would get by this. From looking at her Linkdin profile it looks like she had a pretty good job running United Express and moving to her present position is a best a lateral move and really looks like a downward move. Having been in the industry a long time, I have not been very impressed with the operation of United Express overall, and quite frankly people don't leave a senior vice president postion at a major to run a regional airline. Remember executives at that level don't get fired, they leave the company to "pursue other opportunities" or decide to retire....
Kinda like the guy we had in class that said he quit JetBlue for a better opportunity at Trans States......

Actually when most of at XJT herd that we were getting a new COO we were not very thrilled. We just thought it would be another Skywest Inc. puppet. Our last management team told us that we would never bid on flying without a Joint Contract with the two pilot groups ( ASA and XJT). Now with her and BS( New VP of flight Opps. Believe he started last Feb.) we are bidding on flying. We are not the top performers for United again. You guys at TSA should know how much a management change can make a big difference. A few years back TSA was a miserable place to work and now you guys love it there why? I think its because of your new management. Why she left United I do not know, but it seems she still has a good rapport with them. Time will only tell.

Excited is probably the wrong word. I have been at XJT for almost 11 years. I was here when CAL said they were taking 69 of our planes and giving them to Chautauqua, and our Ceo , Jim Ream, actually had some balls and said now we will keep them and started our branded flying. Then we got our new Ceo Mr. Hanley who was a joy, (Sarcasm ). So yes I know not to get to excited. I know how this can play out. I guess I should say so far Brad S. ( VP of flight opps) and Alex actions are speaking louder than words and so far in the right direction.

Just a little FYI. The open house/recruiting event in ORD on Tuesday and Wednesday will be doing interviews for currently employed 121 pilots.
So, if anyone interested shows up it looks like it would be very likely to get a class date if you pass the interview.
