It's my understanding that you have to be 121 current to be eligible for the CQ program.

How are the travel benefits for family members and parents? Any buddy passes? Benefits on both American and United?

Yes, we get travel benefits on American and United. You can do just as all other airlines do and purchase "buddy passes" aka zed fares for others that are not listed under you to travel. You can list your birth parents, your spouse, and a "second friend" (mine is my sibling). I came to TSA earlier this year and do not have any issues. YES I KNOW people talk trash, but that is everywhere. Just be wise enough to know what you read and the context it is in....

If you're interested in the CQFO options, I would recommend talking to a TSA recruiter. I'd been out for six years, but had spoken with the TSA recruiters and they provided me with options for a CQFO position.

I was former TSA however, and worked for nearly a year as a CA before downgrade. So I did have a couple thousand hours in TSA ERJ's, not sure if that would have made a difference.

Can anyone shed some light on the current training footprint at TSA? How many days from when you show up for day one at indic until sim check ride? Until IOE completion? Any delays or bottle necks? Is the FSI training 5 or 7 days a week? Thanks in advance.

First day of class to completion of IOE was alittle under 3 months. Seemed about on par for most of the classes this fall.

Our newest classes look pretty full as well. With RDU opening in the next month all the bases should open up a bit. Reserve looks like at most 2 months being on the conservative side.
