As is it now you have to somehow hear about DPA, believe that it is a real organization, go to a website that appears to be created by a high schooler, print your own card, and mail to some random address.

Pilots are lazy....which is why they only have 3000 so far. They would have 9000 if they did the list above. Which, is why I think they really don't want to win....just scare ALPA.....which is fine. Disclaimer-I have not sent in card and am not saying either org is better than the other. But #3 happens all the time, so timing #1 with #3 could be quite beneficial.
In case anyone from DPA is reading....I think #3 is happening again.

I was wondering this too. Why not put a drop box? Wouldn't it be illegal to tamper with it? And the crew rooms are recorded by security cameras.

Is this a talk to your LEC reps, maybe make a recall, vote in new reps you've never met, try to get them to change the MEC, and so on?

Forming a new union might be a lot easier.

Or maybe ALPA could allow us to vote for MEC Chair and ALPA President?

I believe the answer to that question is that DAL management will not allow it to be placed there in the first place. Gotta ask why that would be...

Because of Section 1 of the PWA.

Section 1 says there can't be a drop box for the question of another union?

My last captain gave me a card with a stamp and envelope. It was easy. He said every FO he's flown with in the past 6 months has filled it out and sent it in. (that includes me). I am sick of feeling like my expectations are being managed, instead of being promoted for what I am truly worth. We are currently a BARGAIN for management. Show us some LUV (plus) ALPA or move over!

So Captains have stopped buying beer and instead are buying you a new union for $0.49?

If it means an extra $40k a year, fewer RJs, fewer give aways to AK, and better work rules, I think it is worth it.
