Default Does DPA want to win?

Because if they do, all they have to do is:

1. Put a physical card in each pilots file stapled to DPA intro letter.
2. Place drop box for cards in prominent location.
3. Wait for ALPA to do something retarded.

As is it now you have to somehow hear about DPA, believe that it is a real organization, go to a website that appears to be created by a high schooler, print your own card, and mail to some random address.

Pilots are lazy....which is why they only have 3000 so far. They would have 9000 if they did the list above. Which, is why I think they really don't want to win....just scare ALPA.....which is fine. Disclaimer-I have not sent in card and am not saying either org is better than the other. But #3 happens all the time, so timing #1 with #3 could be quite beneficial.

If the DPA supporters would put half the energy the are expending on a new union into supporting and working with your current Mec, or voting in a new Mec, then you wouldn't have the need to try to form a new union AND you still have half your energy.

Yup...you'd still have half your energy, and the same dysfuntional, conflicted and bloated bureaucracy that is ALPA. I prefer to use 100% of my energies to removing our impediment to success...ALPA national.

I've written my reps about what concerns me, and years later I am still left with a reply that sort of goes "We are aware of this concern and are actively working toward...." Meanwhile, we're carrying more passengers on the MD-88/90, flying the 90 out of ATL, and no changes in anything to reimburse pilots for the extra income we're bringing to the company. Add to the fact DALPA signed on to letting the company abuse us with increased avg line value a couple of years ago so I could spend every day of resv plus some for commuting (~19) in ATL and I'd say I've tried.

The MEC & LECs don't need my time and energy to tell us they are behind us for pay restoration & scope. I have read the letters from my LEC and am glad to see our LEC's exec is behind this, but the rest are sadly not saying enough.

And what are you going to do differently to insure a different outcome?

I'd ask Tim Martins - he IS ALPA!

Since I don't own an insurance company, I can't insure anything. But what I'm doing to ensure a different outcome is to strongly support our push for an in house union. One made up of only Delta pilots, focused on the interest of Delta pilots.

I can't imagine ALPA standing for a DPA dropbox in ops. That thing would be out of there before anyone would even know what it was.
