Sure, nobody wants to rehash old news, until that becomes the new company normal and it finally gets around to forcing something on you that YOU care about. Maybe it's not you, but your wife. Maybe she's seen too many specialists and a masectomy would save the company money. Hyperbole? Sure. But the philosophy has been established. Marketing and HR ran the table and physical sovereignty went out the window--regardless of your personal opinions.
It's a touchy subject, but if a certain someone over at UA (goes by the name Tumi) gets elected, you can be certain your union will rapidly forget the idea that YOU are in charge of YOUR medical certification---and decisions that could potentially affect YOUR ability to fly will not be defended with YOUR 1.85%.
Agree or not, but that issue they faced should be a literal nightmare scenario for each pilot on property and throughout ALPA.
Every other union made at least a college effort to entrust pilot's with their own medical states. Not Tumi. He was $250k rich in dues money for big Poppa (add pay for shots) and what he thought was a padded resume for his bid for DePete's job.

Did you create this account just to campaign against TI? His shot at ALPA pres is dead in the water so you can save the effort.

I’ll keep an eye on things as it seems to be a changing environment. My communication took place over a month ago. Obviously a lot has changed since then. Any idea on when the last of the new representatives will be installed? I’d like to send a new email at that point to reiterate my position.

In an interview Thursday, Capt. Todd Insler, chairman of the United branch of ALPA, the Air Line Pilots Association union, broke ranks with his counterparts at American Airlines and Southwest Airlines who earlier this week publicly complained that this wasn’t disclosed to pilots during training or included in the 737 MAX pilot manuals.
Insler said many systems on an airplane work in the background without the pilot’s knowledge. He compared it to watching television: “I don’t need to know how it works.”
