Tho I've checked the VDO box, I'd probably have better luck trying to score a date with (insert your generations hottie here). |
Look things change form month to month. One day United is great, the next they are bottom of the barrel. Do what you think is right for YOU. Real pilots accept you for the smart choices you make, not who writes your checks. You will be welcomed to come to United, but we will always respect your choice.
Profession is always more important than employer. Work at United, jetBlue or any where else, but what matters most is what you stand for. Support your fellow pilots, and they will support you. |
If you desire to work a lot as means to make lots of money, United isn't your best work rule choice. Some bases and seats better than others. But if you want to find ways to stay with a decent qol and still be able to make a few extra here and there United is the place. Like most places, living locally really helps.

It's a double whammy right now...the flying has disappeared and we are still overstaffed by 20-25 guys. I'm sure the pendulum will swing to the other extreme before too long. 40 guys on reserve on any given day? That's a little overkill. |
