seems most people long remember their college days, their sports teams, their country where they grew up. but somehow pilots should just Men In Black erase away the first decades of their airline experiences? interesting....

Oh come on, we all know that anyone who has been here 20 years will hardly be disrupted...it MIGHT be the guy who has been there 20 months...if at all. The sky is NOT falling.

The sky IS falling. Most of us are just used to it by now. It only hurts for a few years.

As a Houston pilot, this impacts me. But I can find no communication from the company asking for my input. I did find some communication from the Union on my thoughts on the next contract. Which I answered. This comes down to what we control and what we don't control. And if anybody thinks Scope isn't a lot of the answer to this then recheck your email.

On a brighter note I found some awesome solar powered lights for around my pool yesterday and my tomatoes are awesome.

There are things the company might want your input for. IAH displacements are not one of them. They haven't asked for my input either.

In this, we are either victims, or given an opportunity. The only difference is your attitude.

This sky IS falling. Make your decision on how it ends for you. And hope, or pray, depending on you affiliations, that it ends well.

Input?
I heard the IAH CPO was not asked for input or even given advance warning of the reduction announcement. Not that a L-UAL Captain from Denver would have any need to know or valuable input on her pilots' reductions.

Yep, move on stop being a little B$&ch and get over it, we are all just guys who like to fly airplanes, support our families and make some money. Get over it, we all just got hired where we got hired, worked out by luck to be better for some then others, move on we are Continental United holdings now, one airline, one pilot group.

Actually it's United Continental Holdings. Forgetting everything catches up with you sometimes.....

Same answer. The IAH CPO doesn't have a say in his staffing level. He manages the personal at whatever staffing level he is given. He is not part of the process.
