Yikes.
I wonder if you hear that from employees at highly successful companies in other industries. I'm inclined to agree with his statement. I'm not sure of your experience/background/perspective. But after a Ch11, furlough, mutliple displacements and concessions all while management gave themselves raises and pats on the back, well, sorry...... Watching them squander millions and millions of dollars, taking a big hit a few years back and blaming it on the extreme weather while the other 2 legacies that operate out of the SAME PLACE AND EXPERIENCED THE SAME WEATHER made profits, well, it's not my job. It's not my job to scream "HOW HI!!!" when they say "JUMP!!!!" (We bed you to take a hit, work more for less, be more "competitive") |

Got it. I gave you a workable solution. You're not looking for solutions; you just want to complain. How's that working out for you?
Wadr, your solution is hoping someone will pick up a trip that I wish to drop or rely on the system accepting a trip drop. A system with parameters set by the company. That is the only solution available at the moment. I'm thinking years ahead. I get it. There is a faction who's paycheck is part of their life value. To them, work rules are a hindrance. I just feel solid work rules coupled with a transparent trip trade system founded on quantifiable metrics would serve us all. |

Ahhmmm...I've lost track of the number of times that our management has told the employees, "You are just labor. I'm management. We manage the company. You just work."
Another famous quote, I think from Glenn, " if you wanted to be management, you should have gone to a better school." or something... Quite frankly no one gives a flip about Glenn or any other legacy baggage. A new ship has sailed and I would like to think we all want to make it successful. |

Ok - however that's not what the current management's mantra is. The past is the past.
