Dang, that's an ambitious statement. Some rough math with today's numbers would mean an additional 2000 pilots. Not counting retirements.

My guess, it wasn't too "recent".

With TK looking like little Beirut, it's not likely.

Info given to the last May class related via a buddy that was there.... There are 508 mando 65 retirements between now and Dec 18, tack on another say 100 that go early... that only leaves about 1000 new hires between now and then to hit the 30% mark. He told the class Willis has told him they need 1000/year starting Jan. There are currently 160 in the pool and interviews start again in the fall. The things holding him up are TK consolidation, displacements jamming up the pipeline, and the lack of the supposed fleet plan.

Overly ambitious? Yeah we haven't hit the 1000/year goal yet... but it's plausible.

What's the latest TK completion date?

Could be way off but I think the building on the grassy knoll isn't supposed to be finished until early '19. I may have read that in an old flight ops or training center update.

Yeah, I've heard several dates, but none that will allow 1000 through next year. And with all the displacement training... dunno, as much as I would LOVE to see it, I don't think it's possible.

I've searched threads but can't find it.
Just curious about 777 vs 787 flying.
Where are the 777 bases? 787 bases?
I'm guessing there's more 777 flying than 787?
Where is the most flying at? East coast or west coast? 777 or 787?
Just curious what the numbers are?

It doesn't matter. They will change six time by the time you are able to apply.

Have you soloed yet?

One thing that is overlooked on here is that we ran at 100 per month for a bit in the spring. That's a good sign.
