I'm saying the trickle down from a significant 787 Captain displacement would probably trigger increased overages in other BES's. Just a matter on if they're willing to eat the overages or not. They may just wait until DEN 756 is open before completely cleaning it up.

The current bid closes Thursday. What happens next according to your sources? Bid results Friday with a new Vacancy bid immediately following...or another Displacement bid?

Probably a vacancy for various seats first followed by a cleanup displacement or two between now and the end of the year. They'll still need a few more folks in both seats SFO 777 because they're still short even after this displacement closes. They can fund it through a vacancy bid or 787 displacements. They might wait until the LAX 777 NPDM process is finished to start the cleanups.

Im pretty sure it is same base seat and pay status but how they decide between a 777 or a 787? I think they always keep you in the same base and seat and just go until they can't.
