Yeah, get rid of the slot controls at a very busy airport and ATC delays go way up. Who wudda thunk it?

I wish they'd modify the jet bridges, or whatever needs to be done, so the E170/175 could operate at those gates. That would cut the number of passengers needing to make the trek to B roughly in half. There might even be enough seats for most of them to sit down, then...

Went into 41 (around the corner) about 6 months ago. The DAL ramp controller didn't sound like he knew what he was doing. Queried multiple times if 41 was open. After he confirmed we taxied in and there was a plane still at 41. With the construction on the south side of the ramp there was no way to turn around. Had to shut down and get towed out of the way and towed back. 45 minutes wasted. Agree fully....it's a horrible operation. Reminds me of my commutes through the B8x gates at IAH.

Yup. The wheels came off the bus when the slots went away. It's like a switch was flipped and we have returned to the notorious EWR of the past.

Cue the political outside the box "solution" of slots in 3...2....1...

Newark has now implemented the "1-2-3 Rule": One cloud and Two airplanes results in a three hour delay! 🙄🙄
