Other than losing power for a day, we have been fortunate that the waters did not rise to our house.
Now, I have been told there is serious concern for the water and sanitation systems at IAH, which may take weeks to repair. In the mean while, the city may not allow commercial operations at IAH.

I'm guessing that he/she is inferring that the ground staff won't be able to work? Let alone flight crews?

However the official Airport page is reporting the airport is closed, indefinitely, with no expected date for opening.
They will not allow passenger traffic if the waste and water systems are not intact.

Sorry, you are correct. Force Majeure has been replace with the term, "Circumstance Beyond the Company's Controll", which exempts the company from compliance with some Regional ratios, furlough protections.

Completely agree, flew in last night and it was total chaos. Willis was more concerned about our new uniforms that we're getting in 4 years than responsibly running an operation....... a full schedule into a hurricane are you kidding me.....embarrassing to say the least.
