I recall the local council cautioning us about emailing Oscar after some guy went off on a rant to him last year. Doubt he will help.

There is a risk, but with risk there can be reward.

We have seen some very bad CP's and ACP's in IAH over the years. I can name names and list their various unethical and unprofessional and in a few cases illegal behavior. Sometimes when management sets its sights on someone they let their feelings determine their goal, or end-game. If they want a pilots head on a spike, they usually get their man. Same goes for office staff. We lost a great lady in IAH a few years ago who worked in the office.

Typically, as a pilot I would advise against getting involved in office politics. One of the reasons I never aspired to work in the CP's office. No politics on the flight deck. Just fly and get the mission completed. Office politics suck. Worst part is, the pilots (the customers) are the losers if you lose a great staff support person.

Letters to the System Chief Pilot (and others) that say this might help.

I just saw the help wanted sign for IAH CP. Maybe if we all wrote the system chief pilot to trade LE to Houston for a yet to be named SFO draft pick?

LAX was elated when he left, but we all knew what SFO was in store for as the CP. He doesn't listen to reason, unless it aligns with his preconceived and predetermined decisions. Very abrasive. The back and front office were on pins and needles and he was just an ACP.
Ridiculous! I don't think he was liked in the Navy as well. Some key pilots in SFO need to step up and get ALPA involved and make some calls to the company. We don't need him moving up into a System CP position or all bases will be screwed.

The ball is rolling. If ALPA has the opportunity, we are making input. Whether it is listened to is another matter.

In this current environment there is no excuse for a petty tyrant with bad social skills to be in charge of anything or anybody. LE needs to hit the road.

You need an intervention. Maybe sacrifice a chicken, or get some of Jobu's rum. He no help with curveball, but he is up for a butt whooping and some public humiliation.

Seriously though....if the little ole IACP can push Debbie McCoy out of the office and onto a deserted island, then surely ALPA can banish him to the Dungeon. Dilly-Dilly.

Didn’t you and the IACP get your participation award?

What happened to that Chief Pilot rating system we had awhile ago? Wouldn't that show proof who is doing a good job or not? It would be ammunition for the union to get him removed.

Also, don't try send him to Houston like awax said, what a bs thing to say. We have enough issues.

I’m not aware of any mechanism within ALPA that allows the union to make management personnel decisions, are you? Maybe that was the legacy Continental thing?
