Default Tourist Visa in Buenos Aires??

I have been told by a couple of crew members that I need to purchase a tourist visa for my wife & kid to accompany me on a trip later in the month.

I found online on the Dept of State website that it is required in Brazil, but can't find that requirement for Argentina (EZE).

Any thoughts?

Old data, they used to require that. Not anymore. Was recently there, love it!

Visa (tourist tax) Went out when their new president was elected about 1.5yrs ago. They also have been in the process of joining the world banking system again so you can use the atms again and/or exchange money at the hotel etc.
make sure you go visit the rose gardens in the recoleta part of town.

We still stay in Puerto Madero (Hilton)? San Telmo has some excellent dining choices. Also, can watch the locals set up their boom boxes and practice tango dancing in the small parque. In the Centro area, an old favorite of many crews is Broccolinos.
